WBCT Donates to Feeding Barrow

Winder Barrow Community Theatre presented a check for $500 To Feeding Barrow from the July 14-16 Children’s Theatre Performance of “Willy Wonka-Theater for Young Audience Version.” This generous gift is a portion of the ticket sales from our recent children’s play based on the book "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" by Roald Dahl.
WBCT was the first local agency to begin supporting Feeding Barrow during the 2010-11 school year, and Feeding Barrow appreciates the faithful support each year. WBCT spotlights local non-profits supported by each of their shows, so patrons learn more about essential local support programs like Feeding Barrow. Food insecurity on the weekends is a very real problem for more than 450 Barrow County School System students each year. WBCT received thanks for kicking off the Feeding Barrow fundraising this school year.
